Several specialists have significantly contributed to the development of Movu. Through close collaboration with doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, we have received valuable professional input that helps us understand users' needs and challenges. Since 2020, we have had a close partnership with Unicare Fram Rehabilitation Center, where both their experts and patients have tested Movu and provided feedback that has led to concrete improvements. Here you can read more about our collaboration with Unicare Fram.

The most important thing is how Movu is experienced by the user.

Unicare Fram in Rykkinn, Bærum is a rehabilitation center within the Specialist Health Service that helps individuals in need of treatment or rehabilitation after accidents or illness. There, patients receive close follow-up from a multidisciplinary team consisting of experts in medicine, rehabilitation, neuropsychology, nursing, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. With their extensive expertise, Unicare Fram ensures that each patient receives optimal rehabilitation. For us at Movu, Unicare Fram is a valuable resource. Through our collaboration, we have ensured high quality in our products and maintained focus on the most important aspect: how the product is actually experienced by the user.

Movu kickstarted product development with professional input at Unicare.

The first time we visited Unicare Fram was during the development phase of Movu. We presented the idea, our thoughts, and an early prototype. Meeting users and professionals at such an early stage gave us invaluable feedback that could have taken months to discover otherwise. By being open and receptive to input, we quickly gained insights that improved the design.

A concrete example is the development of the steering wheel. Today, the steering wheel is one of the most distinctive features that sets Movu apart from other walkers on the market. Good feedback led to the targeted development of Movu's current steering wheel, which is specially designed for optimal functionality.

2024 - We present a finished Movu at Unicare Fram

In May 2024, we were able to visit Fram again to present the finished Movu, hold
presentation, and let the experts test it. Several patients also had the opportunity to
test roll Movu. Allowing people with varying levels of ability to test the product is a
a very educational experience. We discovered even more different challenges that require different
levels of support.

In collaboration with leading experts, we have therefore developed some key features
what truly sets Movu apart from other walkers on the market. This collaboration has
been crucial in ensuring that Movu meets the various needs of users, and we are
proud of the result.

Important features that make Movu special:

  • The ergonomic steering wheel provides good support for the hands. By relieving the arms and shoulders, tension in the shoulders and neck is reduced.

  • With the large front wheel that you control yourself, it is easy to pass obstacles.
  • The steering wheel with height adjustment allows Movu to be adjusted for maximum rolling comfort.

  • Integrated brakes on both rear wheels that also have a one-handed function give you good control.
